A NEW WAY FORWARD: HEALING WHAT’S HURTING BLACK AMERICA
Sponsored by the National CARES Mentoring Movement
Introductory Evening, Friday, December 3rd;
Oakland, California
A New Way Forward, a healing manual and training dedicated to revitalizing African Americans in body, mind, spirit and community, is debuting this December in Oakland! It is the first of three trainings that will take place in Oakland over the next 6 months.
The A New Way Forward training is a bold mentor-recruitment effort for caring, community-committed adults—the high and the humble—who want to de-stress and fortify our spirit, who want to lead healthy, peaceful, productive lives, who want to serve as mentors and the culture-shifting brigade that Black children are so longing for and our community desperately needs.
