I didn’t know there was such a thing as a funky a** jazz violinist. Damn! Mads Tolling put a hurtin’ on the crowd at The Rrazz Room last night! The Mads Tolling Quartet–including Mike Abraham (guitar), George Ban-Weiss (acoustic/electric bass), and Eric Garland (drums)–was a new experience for me, admittedly. But that’s whats so fantastic about The Rrazz Room. It’s the perfect place to get some musical education! Several times during the show, I closed my eyes and thought I was at Prince concert. Yep! They are that tight. Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Rock, Reggae…..again, I say Damn!
The fact that he’s a total hottie and a super nice guy didn’t hurt anything, either.
