  In  the past year, T.I. has experienced the good, the bad and the ugly three times  over.In 2010 he released his seventh studio album, “No Mercy,” married his longtime girlfriend, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle,  starred in a hit movie, “Takers,” and was nominated for a Grammy. But it all  came crumbling down when he was arrested for violating the terms of his  probation in September 2010.Now, a month after his release from prison,  he’s putting pen to paper and releasing his debut novel, “Power & Beauty,” co-written with David Ritz. Seen on Reed Between the Lines: What’s a young girl to do? Natural or Relaxed?

In a recent episode of BETs new sitcom Reed Between the Lines starring Tracee Ellis Ross, the characters tackled a subject most black women have contemplated at one point in their life — to relax their hair or not.

Dr. Reed (Tracee Ellis Ross) tries to help her daughter Kaci (Zoe Soul) understand the consequences of relaxing her hair, not just today, but years from now.

I don’t want to get into a debate about natural vs. relaxed hair, but do you think children should be able to make their own decisions about getting a relaxer?
