Bobby Brown skips concert to be be with Bobbi Kristina
With the death of ex-wife Whitney Houston, and his daughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital, sources close to Bobby Brown tell TMZ he is on his way to Los Angeles be with his daughter … and skipping a concert to do so.
According to our sources, Bobbi Kristina has not been alone since her mother passed — she’s had Bobby’s family by her side the entire time.
New Edition has a concert tonight in Nashville, but we’re told Bobby will skip the show so he can get to Los Angeles to be with Bobbi Kristina.
As TMZ first reported, Bobbi Kristina has been in the hospital twice since Whitney passed away.
Whitney found underwater
Whitney Houston was found in the bathtub of a Beverly Hills hotel yesterday … with her face underwater … people close to Whitney tell TMZ.
According to our sources, her stylist, hairdresser and two bodyguards were among the people in the room at the time. We’re told they became worried about Whitney because she had been in the bathroom for over an hour and it was time to start getting ready for the Clive Davis party.
Our sources say they began to knock on the door and there was no answer. We’re told the hairdresser, who is female, went in to check on Whitney. She immediately screamed and, according to our sources, one of the bodyguards came running in and pulled her out of the tub.
We’re told Whitney’s face was below the water and her legs were up … like she had slid down the back of the tub.
According to our sources, her body was very cold and the bodyguard attempted CPR. That’s when hotel security was called.
Paramedics arrived shortly thereafter, but Whitney was pronounced dead at 3:55 PM.

Bobbi Kristina rushed to the hospital–twice
Whitney Houston‘s 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was just rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles … and it’s her second trip to the hospital since her mother passed away last night … TMZ has learned.
According to our sources … Bobbi was taken out of the Beverly Hilton on a stretcher (see photo above). It’s the same hotel where Whitney was found dead.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ police and fire responded to a call for a medical emergency, but would not confirm who was transported.
According to our sources, Bobbi Kristina went to the hospital last night as well, but was not transported via ambulance. We’re told she was “hysterical, exhausted and inconsolable.”
As TMZ first reported, Bobbi Kristina got into an angry shouting match last night with police officers outside the hotel room where her mother was found dead.

Dionne Warwick spoke to Whitney minutes before she died
Dionne Warwick and Cissy Houston spoke with Whitney Houston by phone just before she died and say Whitney seemed fine … TMZ has learned.
Whitney’s mother, Cissy Houston, spoke with her daughter 25-30 minutes before she died and nothing seemed unusual … sources tell TMZ. We’re told they talked about attending the Clive Davis pre-Grammy party.
Dionne Warwick, Whitney’s cousin, called as well … several hours before Whitney died … to make sure they were sitting at the same table at Clive’s party. And again … there were no signs of trouble.
The people in touch with Dionne say she is inconsolable adding, “She is an absolute mess.”
As for Cissy, we’re told she is “hysterical.”

Whitney Houston‘s lifeless body was found by her entourage in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, authorities revealed Sunday.
Los Angeles investigators shared little else as they continued to determine what killed Houston. Officials refused to comment on reports the pop queen drowned and prescription pills were involved.
They did make clear, however, that there were no signs of foul play.
“No obvious signs of foul play and no obvious signs of a cause of death,” Beverly Hills police Lt. Mark Rosen Rosen said.
An autopsy was expected to be performed on Sunday or Monday, local ABC reported.
Houston was declared dead at 3:55 p.m. after paramedics tried to revive her using CPR, and Los Angeles Coroner officials left with her body at around 1:50 a.m. Sunday morning.
The iconic singer was in Los Angeles for music executive Clive Davis‘ annual pre-Grammy party, one of Hollywood’s hottest events of the year.
In a grim twist, the shindig went on early Sunday with Houston’s body still upstairs.
Outside the hotel, paparazzi swarmed as the Beverly Hills crime lab awaited for Houston’s body to emerge, ABC reported.
“It’s a real downer in there. It’s not a party. She is a big loss, and she was a big part of Clive Davis’ life,” ex-San Francisco mayor Willie Brown told the Daily News during a break from the party.
Brown said he’d seen Houston many times at the annual event.
“She was a fixture here, even though sometimes it was difficult for her,” he said.
In her most recent public appearance at the rehearsals for Davis’ gala on Thursday, the star appeared agitated, bloated and disheveled, flitting erratically around the ballroom with wet hair and mismatched clothes, the Los Angeles Times reported.
But her mother, Cissy Houston and her cousin, Dionne Warwick, reportedly spoke to the troubled singer over the phone at around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday and had no indication anything was wrong.
Grammy nominee Kelly Price, whose duet with Houston at Thursday’s party would become the singer’s final performance, said she saw no signs of trouble as Houston partied with her daughter, Bobbi Kristina.
“There was nothing wrong. She was singing, she was dancing, she was laughing, she was playing,” Price told ABC News.
“I’m going to remember her just like that because that’s the Whitney I always had the pleasure of being around.”

Her death casts a pall on Sunday’s Grammy Awards ceremonies and she will be honored in a musical tribute by Jennifer Hudson and Chaka Kahn, ET reported.
Bobby Breaks Down
Bobby Brown, who spent 15 tumultuous years married to Whitney Houston, broke down in tears Saturday night upon hearing of the platinum-selling diva’s death.
“I love you, Whitney,” Brown said as he prepared to perform in Southaven, Miss. “The hardest thing for me to do is to come on this stage.”
Brown, who had been accused of domestic abuse against the iconic performer, was on a reunion tour of New Edition and began calling relatives as he found out about the death, People magazine reported.
“He could hardly get the words out when he called me,” a relative told the magazine. “He was sobbing, and by the end of the call, I was sobbing, too. He’s beside himself right now.”
