Our fearless leader Nikki Thomas has been expressing to me a growing fancy for USA’s “Common Law” star Michael Ealy. Maybe you caught him in Barbershop and thought ‘who is that cutie?’ or swooned when he shared the screen with Taraji P. Henson in “Think Like a Man.” (sidenote, I caught him on the Wendy Williams show last week and he dispelled any rumors of a relationship between Taraji and himself.) Check out an interview that he did with Essence magazine where he opens up just a bit about his guilty pleasures, hidden talents and what he would be…
I’m very impressed with the woman that Brandy has become and really hope that all of her dreams, especially those involving a musical comeback are realized! Check out an interview that she gave Boombox where she discusses, music, Kim Kardashian and of course her relationship with the late great Whitney Houston.
How do you feel about the shift in R&B, as more and more of the genre’s artists put out pop, house and dance-leaning music?
I think art is art. Music is music. We put things into categories, but if it makes you feel good, then you should support it. I…
I am a firm believer in you love who you love, but there’s a side of me that is definitely giving Rohan the side eye right now.
Despite giving birth to five of Rohan Marley’s children, singer Lauryn Hill never got a ring. After just a few months of dating Brazilian model Isebeli Fontana’s Marley has decided to put a ring on it. While there isn’t a concrete wedding date in place, the couple will exchange vows in Ethiopia. Fontana spoke to Veja Magazine about their upcoming wedding ceremony.
“Rohan told me we have to return to the roots so the marriage will last…
Michael Jackson may be gone in life but the music hasn’t gone anywhere, as Pepsi shows with its latest campaign.
In honor of the 25th anniversary of MJ’s “Bad” album and tour, the company plans to produce one billion Pepsi cans bearing the silhouette of the late King of Pop, in addition to new mixes of MJ’s music from the multi-platinum album, which was released in 1987.
Called “Live for Now,” the campaign will also hold worldwide contents for fans to win jackets designed with the original “Bad” tour staff jackets in mind, as well as tickets to the Cirque du…

Sybrina Fulton, the mother of slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin released a video message to express the pain of her first Mother’s Day without her son. Trayvon Martin was killed February 26, 2012, while walking home from the store by a neighborhood watch volunteer named George Zimmerman.
After weeks of protest and national outcry Zimmerman was finally charged in the death of Martin, however he is currently out on bail.
Michael Jackson made it no secret how much he loved his mother, Katherine. We stumbled across this old video that shows a 25-year-old Michael serenading her with one of her favorite songs, “For The Good Times,” at her birthday party in 1984.
In the first 90 minutes after news of President Obama’s support of gay marriage Wednesday, his campaign banked $1 million in spontaneous contributions, according to BuzzFeed.
“This is beyond unifying — it’s electrifying,” said Eugene Sepulveda, a former fundraiser for Obama who withdrew to take a non-political job early this year. “This man stands for right, despite the political consequences.”
Jeff Soref, a longtime Democratic activist in the gay community, told BuzzFeed: “I think the people who were disappointed by the president’s failure to support marriage quality will now have that barrier removed for them.”
Indeed, top gay donors have been using…
