I think most women have had problems at one time or another finding a perfect fit for clothes — especially with suits or two-piece outfits. Anyone who knows me, know I hate knee-highs. I’m talking about wearing knee-high stockings in place of pantyhose. To me, there’s nothing worse than a woman wearing knee-high stockings pretending to look like pantyhose.

Knee-highs date back to the Romans, but Dolce & Gabanna is making them fashionable once again with its 2012 Golden Baroque collection.

But wearing them with a dress or skirt trying to appear like pantyhose is, well, just tacky.

Most women I see trying to get away with it, don’t. You can usually see the knee-highs peeking out from the back or it becomes obvious when they sit down.

Although leather leggings made a big debut last fall, just about everyone was wearing them for Fashion Week, and I can see why. They’re pliable, soft and just plain fun to wear!
